Alberta Indian Tax Exemption Card (AITE)

As of Monday, October 4th, 2021, the Alberta Indian Tax Exemption Card (White Card) will no longer be accepted as proof of eligibility for tax exempt purchases from on reserve retailers.

In place of the AITE card (white card) First Nations people will be able to use one of the following as proof of eligibility for tax exemption.

  • Secure Certificate of Indian Status           (SCIS)
  • Certificate of Indian Status                        (CIS)  (laminate one)

I will be issuing Certificate of Indian Status (laminate one) and I can also help filling out the SCIS applications once office reopens.
