Lee Day

Comptroller

Lee Day, Director of Finance is a member of the Montreal Lake Cree Nation. She began her work with the Peerless Trout First Nation on a part-time contract in 2013. In 2018 she signed on as full-time Comptroller. Lee is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) with over 25 years of experience; 20 of those years have been working with Indigenous communities. 

As Comptroller, Lee oversees all financial aspects of the First Nation, including the PTFN Community Trust and band owned companies.

Finance Staff

The finance unit has five staff.  In addition to Lee there is Saralee Letendre who is the Finance Manager and three financial clerks: Julie Noskiye, Darla Laboucan and Thelma Okemow. Sheileen Ossimeemas provides finance related Administrative and data entry support to the unit. 

Sheileen and Julie are taking maternity leave in October of 2020, congratulations to both. Denalda Okewmow is filling in for Julie while she is away. Sheileen’s position will remain vacant for the time being.

SARALEE LETENDRE

Finance Manager

Saralee has been working in the finance department since 2013. She is from the community of Peerless Lake and enjoys her position as the Finance Manager. She has mentored several the staff in the finance department and takes great pride in her work. In her spare time Saralee enjoys quad riding, fishing, camping hunting and reading. Saralee believes; “You should always be the best version of you”. This is her favorite quote.

Darla Laboucan

Finance Clerk

Has been employed with the Finance Department at PTFN since January 2016. Darla started in data entry and us now working as a Finance Clerk and also work on Accounts Receivables for the First Nation owned companies. Darla is the Mother of three and resides in trout Lake where she enjoys playing guitar, singing, and writing.
