Lee Day


Lee Day, Director of Finance has been working with Peerless Trout First Nation for over eight years. Lee Day is a certified CPA having graduated from NAIT. She has a wealth of experience in working with Indigenous Communities through her past work experiences at the Canada Revenue Agency and Indigenous Service Canada. As the Director of Finance Lee oversees the First Nation budget as well as the Band Owned  Companies.

Lee is dedicated to working with her team in finance and providing Capacity Support where required. In 2018 Lee was the recipient of the First Nations’ “Outstanding Service Award”.

Finance Staff

The finance unit has three staff. Denalda Okemow, Finance Officer and Julia Oar, data entry clerk the finance unit band administration and payroll services to PTEI, and Saralee Letendre.

Lila Oar and Denalda Okemow are on Maternity leave, congratulations to both.

Saralee is now taking over as Director for Finance, while Julie Oar takes over payroll services for PTEI. Darla Laboucan is the temporary data entry clerk for the finance unit.


Finance Manager

Saralee has been working in the finance department since 2013. She is from the community of Peerless Lake and enjoys her position as the Finance Manager. She has mentored several the staff in the finance department and takes great pride in her work. In her spare time Saralee enjoys quad riding, fishing, camping hunting and reading. Saralee believes; “You should always be the best version of you”. This is her favorite quote.


Payroll Services

Darla Laboucan

Finance Clerk

Has been employed with the Finance Department at PTFN since January 2016. Darla started in data entry and us now working as a Finance Clerk and also work on Accounts Receivables for the First Nation owned companies. Darla is the Mother of three and resides in trout Lake where she enjoys playing guitar, singing, and writing.
