This is an Indigenous Pre-Apprenticeship Program that assists First Nation, Metis, and Inuit people get their foot in the door with a trade of their choice. The program offers 2 weeks of Foundations (Orientation & Personal Development), 4 weeks of Academic Prep (Math & Science, so participants can write their Apprenticeship & Industry Training (AIT) entrance exam), 1 week of Safety Tickets, 2 weeks of Basic Construction Training (Construction Basics, Cement Basics, and Use of Tools), and 6 weeks of hands on training (tiny home build).
Graduates would then seek employers who are willing to offer them an apprenticeship and apply for their blue book.
Please contact Shannon Houle to book you in for Pre-Testing on July 10, 2019.
