We would like to thank everyone for their efforts in helping stop the spread of COVID-19 and taking the necessary precautions and following the restrictions set in place by both the Province and the First Nation. We realize that this is not an easy time for everyone and the sacrifices that you must take as community members are, what seem to be, changing day by day. You must remind yourselves that there will be a day soon when COVID-19 will end, and as of today that with all of your hard work and sacrifices as community members there has not been a single COVID case in either community.

With the upcoming holiday season and the stresses of possible financial instability, mental strain of not being able to visit loved ones and so much uncertainty PTFN would like to offer assistance when they can. Chief and Council have approved the following:

  • Off Reserve support – All members will be receiving $150.00 to help for whatever is needed while being away from the communities. Please contact Sheirra Noskiye @ 780-649-4015 or sheirra.noskiye@ptfn.net and she will be able to provide details on how the financial support will be administered. DEADLINE FOR REQUESTS WILL BE DECEMBER 4, 2020
  • Community Members – All PTFN members are eligible to receive either a $300.00 allotment of propane or 2 loads of wood (Seniors 65+ will receive two loads of cut and chopped wood, all others it will be cut only) Please contact  Bluewave propane @ 780-649-6111 to receive propane and please contact Beverly Noskiye @ 587-279-3235 or income.support@ptfn.net receive firewood.

Calls will be taken between the hours of 8:30 and 4:30 pm.

We all must keep practicing the safety measures set out by the Province and to follow the restrictions put in place by the Nation. The more that everyone follows the guidelines, the sooner the Provincial cases will drop and restrictions may begin to be lifted again.

Remember there are currently no cases in the communities, let’s try and keep it that way!!

Thank you
