As PTFN and all the countries watch the COVID-19 pandemic sweep
throughout the world, all Governments are changing the way in which they try
and control the spread this virus. Leadership
and I have been closely following the actions of other communities and meeting
constantly to provide the best up to date information to our members. The
following are the current pandemic numbers as of March 25, 2020 from the World
Health Organization.
PTFN will employ every effort to help all members and residents of
Peerless Lake and Trout Lake. The First Nation has already put in place several
emergency assistance programs and are continuing to add to the services they
can provide. Please keep looking at the First Nation’s Facebook and Web page
and please let share the messages that are posted so that all members know of
the emergency assistance programs
PTFN Chief & Council in collaboration with the efforts of the
Municipality of Opportunity #17 have signed a Band Council Resolution to enact
on enforcing the following:
The numbers of confirmed cases are rising at alarming rate, even with the
all the Health Protocols in place. PTFN and its members need to take action to
control the spread of COVID-19 for the Health & Safety of all our residents.

DAILY FOR ALL MEMBERS OF PEERLESS TROUT FIRST NATION, THOSE WHO DO NOT ADHERE
TO THE CURFEW WILL BE FINED $500.00
CHECK POINTS – PEERLESS
TROUT FIRST NATION MEMBERS THAT DECIDE TO LEAVE THE COMMUNITIES WILL BE ASKED
TO SELF ISOLATE FOR 14 DAYS UPON THEIR RETURN – FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT
IN A $2000.00 FINE
ONLY RESIDENTS OF PEERLESS
LAKE AND TROUT LAKE (EXCLUDING ESSENTIAL AND EMERGENCY SERVICES) WILL BE
ALLOWED ENTRY INTO THE COMMUNITIES.
