Leadership is taking steps to protect the Health and Safety of its
communities, members and residents of Peerless Lake and Trout Lake. We know
there is no cure and undoubtedly may have COVID 19 come to the communities, but
the longer we can keep this virus away, the better in the long run for the
Health & Safety of people living in the communities. We already know that
over 80,000 people have survived and recovered from the virus. Which means that
when most people catch the virus they will get better! It’s those at
high risk we need to protect:
Peerless Trout First Nation as a Nation, community and most importantly a family need to
protect themselves this COVID 19 threat. These are very extraordinary times
which require dire actions, that need the support of all members, to keep this
virus at bay.
Peerless Trout First Nation like other
Nations across the Province, Country and the World have come to a Health Event
not ever seen in present day society, like we have with COVID 19. This is a
real threat to everyday life for millions of people around the globe. The
following statistics are proof of this:
97 confirmed cases in Alberta
596 confirmed cases in Canada
81,950 recovered globally
7,948 deaths globally
198,006 cases confirmed globally
As of 11:00 pm, March 17, 2020
Please stay safe and keep updated on the posts that are being sent out.
Thanks,
Peerless Trout First Nation Chief & Council
