Trust Program Manager

Peerless Trout First Nation (PTFN) is seeking a motivated, organized, and experienced individual to fill the position of Trust Program Manager on a term basis. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Trust Program Manager is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and delivery of Trust-funded programs and services. The successful candidate will ensure that Trust programs are administered fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with Trust policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the PTFN Trust Program.
• Implement and administer Trust policies, procedures, and funding guidelines.
• Review and process funding applications.
• Monitor program budgets and expenditures.
• Prepare reports for the Executive Director, Trust Committee, and Chief and Council.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with community members, funding partners, and stakeholders.
• Supervise Trust Program staff, where applicable.
• Maintain accurate program records and confidential files.
• Coordinate meetings and prepare agendas, reports, and minutes as required.
• Ensure compliance with all Trust policies and financial accountability requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Completion of Grade 12 with coursework in management studies.
▪ Minimum of 1-year office experience.
▪ Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.
▪ Superior communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and conflict resolution) as well as facilitation/public speaking skills.
▪ Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, and database management systems.
▪ Demonstrated experience in budgeting and proposal writing.
▪ Ability to always maintain confidentiality.
▪ Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
▪ Excellent leadership, accountability and organizational skills.
▪ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
▪ Completion of a Management Studies certificate or diploma is an asset.
▪ Ability to understand/speak Cree is an asset.
▪ Experience working with a board of trustees or a board of directors in an asset.
▪ Must live within PTFN Communities, must be a member of PTFN as per trust funding requirements.
▪ Willing to provide a copy of your class 5 driver’s license and a current driver’s abstract.
▪ Must provide an RCMP Police Information Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check as a condition of employment.
